EDUARDO DATO Político conservador y jurisconsulto. Nacido en 1856 en La Coruña, fue asesinado en Madrid, en 1921. Creó la escuela de criminología de Madrid. Fue diputado, ministro y Presidente del Consejo de Ministros en diversas épocas. El monumento funerario es obra de Mariano Benlliure. Sobre alto basamento rectangular se eleva la urna funeraria en la que yace la estatua en mármol del político. En la cabecera, fundida en bronce, una elegante espigada figura de mujer enlutada, eleva la cruz en alto. A los pies de la urna dos amorcillos flanquean el escudo de España.
